Job Summary
The Class A Lineman performs construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The role includes leading crew members in the absence of the Foreman, string-ing overhead wire, setting poles and anchors, installing transformers, switches and switchgear, troubleshooting primary and secondary systems, working with energized high voltage, and maintaining company vehicles and PPE. Must be able to climb various structures, understand phasing and grounding, plan safe work from job prints, perform pre-job briefings, and travel as required. Requires long hours outdoors, work in inclement weather, and willingness to travel/relocate as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5-year minimum of recent field experience
- Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment
- A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred
- Able to travel long distances on short notice
- Able to work for extended periods in various locations
- Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English
