A Lineman - Overhead (AP)

Job Summary
Construct and repair electrical overhead distribution systems, including new construction, maintenance, and live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques. Lead crew members during absences, conduct safety briefings, and train apprentices. Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and tensioners while climbing structures and working at heights in extreme weather. Troubleshoot faults and follow strict switching, tagging, and grounding procedures. Available for outages, storms, emergencies, and on-call rotation with long-distance travel. Requires five years of overhead line experience, a CDL, and willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Willing to travel long distances on short notice
- Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation
- Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments
