Job Summary
Diagnose and repair any product sold in the dealership, performing full and complete diagnostics on vehicles in service. Communicate necessary repairs verbally and in writing to the Service Manager or Writer while maintaining a positive working relationship with all employees. Train, mentor, and transfer skills to less experienced technicians. Own the complete set of tools and meet deadlines to complete work productively and profitably. Adhere to all dealership policies, dress codes, and grooming standards. Operate equipment and move vehicles safely in a shop environment exposed to noise, dust, odors, chemicals, and weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Competent in diagnosing and repairing any product sold in the dealership
- Must be able to accurately perform full and complete diagnosis on products in for service
- Able to communicate to Service Manager or Writer repairs necessary both verbally and in writing
- Ability to train, mentor, and transfer skills to less experienced technicians
- Proficient in meeting deadlines and completing work productively and profitably
- Ownership of complete set of tools
- Abide by all dealership policies pertaining to the department
- Follow company dress codes and be well groomed at all times
- Previous motorcycle or automobile service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Computer literate
- Technical and / or mechanical expert
- Familiarity of product lines sold in dealership
