A-Grade Maintenance Electrician

Job Summary
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems while utilizing the CMMS to track work orders. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across PLC, SCADA, and I/O systems, conducting root cause analysis to minimize downtime. Execute installations and support OEMs during commissioning, ensuring all activities comply with Australian Safety Standards and site requirements. Manage store spares inventory, coordinate contractor engagement, and maintain accurate documentation including risk assessments and maintenance reports. Work within a 24-hour operations team covering morning shifts, with additional weekend support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and automation systems
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to safety
- 3–5 years' experience in a similar role with strong exposure to modern manufacturing automation
- A grade Electrical License
- Current Elevated Work Platform License (EWP)
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment
- Knowledgeable with PLC logic, SCADA, Siemens safety control logic, and Australian Safety Standards
- Must be available for weekend production as required
