Job Summary
Conduct emergent general surgery in an inpatient hospital setting, managing an average of 15 cases daily and 8 to 16 OR cases weekly. Provide 24-hour call coverage with 7 am to 7 am shifts, including nights and weekends. Perform procedures such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy while utilizing Epic EMR. Air and ground transport support is available for patient transfers. Weekly pay deposits and complimentary housing and travel are arranged by the recruiter, who also handles credentialing and malpractice coverage. Access an online portal for assignment details and time entry.
Required Qualifications
- Nights and weekends required
- 15 cases per day on average
- 8 - 16 OR cases per week
- Inpatient hospital setting -- no clinic duties
- EMR: Epic
- Emergent general surgery -- appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.
