Job Summary
A Minnesota-based locum tenens opportunity for a vascular surgeon to perform EVAR/TEVAR and open vascular procedures, including carotid endarterectomy and peripheral bypass, with dialysis access and thrombectomy. Typical schedule includes 18-20 patients per shift across mixed clinic and OR duties, 10-14 patients per 24 hours with 8-10 consults and 10-20 patients per day, and weekend call coverage with a 30-minute response. Ongoing assignment with a minimum 6-month commitment. Benefits include paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses. Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $250 to $300 per hour. Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent medical degree
- board-certified or eligible in vascular surgery
- VA/LOCUM TENENS experience preferred
- ability to perform EVAR/TEVAR and open vascular procedures
- Carotid endarterectomy and peripheral bypass procedures required
- Dialysis access and thrombectomy procedures required
- weekend call coverage
- availability for 6-month minimum assignment
- current medical malpractice insurance
