Conduct general and trauma surgery coverage in an emergency department with two dedicated trauma bays, providing approximately 15% admission rate of trauma patients. Manage ongoing coverage opportunities from Thursday through Sunday, ending Monday morning, with 24-hour call shifts scheduled from 7 am to 7 am, four shifts per month. Utilize sub-specialty backup support from general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and ENT while completing assignment details and time entry in the online portal.
