Job Summary
Locum obstetrics and gynecology physician needed for a 24-hour shift-based assignment at a Level 4 referral center. Responsibilities include high-risk OB labor and delivery management, 2–3 deliveries per day (primarily cesareans), rounding on 15–18 patients per day (up to 25 at peak), direct supervision of residents, and handling high-acuity OB transfers. Assignments offer paid malpractice insurance and prepaid travel and housing expenses with ongoing coverage potential. Location: Plainfield, IA, US (on-site). Obtain Weatherby Healthcare support for placement and logistics; Charter member of NALTO.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed physician in good standing
- Board certified/eligible in obstetrics and gynecology
- Ability to manage high-risk obstetrics and labor and delivery
- Experience with cesarean sections
- Supervision of residents
- Willingness to cover 24-hour shifts and be on call
