Job Summary
Locums cardiologist needed in Des Moines, IA. 2 weeks per month March through December. Mon–Fri 8 am–5 pm with weekend and night call as needed (call 1:3). 14–18 patients per day in clinic; 10–14 patients per day average in hospital; 6–8 consults on average. Mostly inpatient with a little outpatient mix. Echos, stress tests, stress echos, and EKG required. CompHealth handles credentialing, housing, travel, and malpractice coverage; assignment details and time entry available via online portal; dedicated recruiter to manage logistics.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent medical degree
- board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology
- license to practice in IA or eligibility to obtain licensure in IA
- fellowship trained in cardiology
- experience with inpatient/outpatient cardiology setting
- ability to perform Echos, stress tests, stress echoes, EKGs
