Job Summary
Locum obstetrics-gynecology physician needed in California for 12-hour shifts with a strong emphasis on night coverage. Responsibilities include OB deliveries and C-sections, GYN emergencies, GYN ED calls, and multiple deliveries per shift, with 10-25 patients seen per shift, 4-10 deliveries, and 3-5 GYN ED calls. Option to fly in for 5+ shifts monthly. Competitive compensation with paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses. Assignment entry in online portal; Weatherby Healthcare consultant available 24/7. Charter member of NALTO. From $150-$225 hourly with all-inclusive compensation dependent on experience and shift dynamics.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed physician in good standing
- Board-certified or board-eligible in obstetrics and gynecology
- Locum tenens experience preferred
- Ability to perform deliveries and C-sections
- Experience with OB call and GYN emergencies
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Willingness to travel to facility as needed
- Malpractice insurance provided/required
- Reliable transportation for travel assignments
