Job Summary
Deliver synchronous instruction and asynchronous recorded lessons via Pearson Online Classroom while diagnosing student learning needs through data. Provide individualized support, construct clear feedback, and conduct timely parent conferences to update Personal Learning Plans. Operate within a Response to Intervention model to implement differentiated instruction and coordinate Tier 2 and 3 interventions with team members. Maintain accurate student records, monitor attendance, and collaborate with advisory teachers and counselors to ensure goal progress. Coordinate social activities, field trips, and state testing administration. Work remotely or from Worthington/Mason offices, attending professional development and recruiting sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach 9th Grade in Ohio
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized and punctual
- Student and family focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Strong interpersonal skills which include the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
- Ability to work remotely
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
