Job Summary
The Substance Abuse Counselor provides direct rehabilitative services to chemically addicted clients, developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs while collaborating with healthcare professionals. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health services, social work, or social science
- Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
- Two (2) years’ experience providing direct services

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and techniques used in substance use counseling
- Demonstrated ability to develop and carry out treatment plans in a clinical setting
