Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) for a senior living community in Seattle, WA. Oversees clinical operations across Assisted Living and Memory Care, leading LPNs, caregivers, and department leaders; ensures high standards of resident care, safety, and satisfaction; maintains regulatory compliance and nurse delegation; partners with the Executive Director and leadership team to improve staffing, performance, and community metrics; requires active RN license and leadership experience in senior living or related healthcare settings; emphasizes hospitality-driven leadership, culture-building, and hands-on support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Director of Nursing, Health Services Director, or similar leadership experience preferred
- Background in senior living, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, or related healthcare setting
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing clinical staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hospitality-driven mindset
- Ability to balance clinical oversight with hands-on leadership when needed
- Experience with regulatory compliance and nurse delegation (Washington experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success in building culture, driving accountability, and improving team performance
