Job Summary
Supervise local operations, personnel, and fleet to ensure timely ambulance deployment and recovery. Coordinate supply and equipment needs for on-duty units, manage the supply room, and organize fleet repairs and preventative maintenance. Communicate with the General Manager, Dispatch, and Scheduling Coordinator to update daily deployment and report pertinent operational information. Document unit mechanical issues, control overtime budgets, and diffuse employee conflicts while adhering to local and company policies. Council and coach new and existing employees during disciplinary processes, maintain check-out sheets for EMS compliance, and investigate potential company liabilities. Disperse controlled narcotics and medications, promote safety, and maintain vendor relationships to support fluent operations. Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in small to medium office or shared workspace conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic Certifications Required
- Current Driver's license
- Must maintain the ability to be insured through the company's insurance carriers
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to push and lift to 100 lbs
- Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for patients, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to self or others
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to use a computer for long periods of time
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience as a Paramedic preferred
