Job Summary
Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and provide first-aid or advanced life support per local protocol. Transport patients safely to hospitals or other healthcare facilities while documenting all medical care and relaying observations to physicians. Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily, plus inventory, replace, and clean supplies after use. Requires a Texas Paramedic license, two years in EMS, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Schedule is a 48 on/96 off rotation with no cap on overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic license issued by the state of Texas or other compact state REQUIRED
- Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level
- Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations
- Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties
- Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring
- 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services
