Job Summary
Full-time Colocation Crisis Counselor at Volunteers of America Western Washington, colocated at the 911 center to de-escalate emotional distress, assess safety, provide crisis intervention, and refer clients to 988/region resources. Responsibilities include responding to 911-originated calls, performing safety assessments, applying Lifeline Best Practices, documenting interactions, coordinating with 988 teams, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and mandated reporting. Requires English fluency, empathetic communication, strong listening and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and on-site work at the Tacoma/Everett location.
