Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer will oversee system administration including system optimization, user assistance, and managing resources for DevSecOps activities. The role requires a blend of technical prowess and leadership, guiding other administrators and promoting best practices for system security and performance. The ideal candidate must demonstrate 10 years of experience in technical disciplines, particularly in DevSecOps implementations utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, and more. The position demands proficiency with cloud services like AWS and Azure, solid scripting skills, and familiarity with software testing protocols.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in providing DevSecOps implementation using technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Jenkins, and GitLab CI
- Experience working with Cloud Service Providers such as AWS and Azure and utilizing cloud based DevSecOps services
- Experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis
- Experience with Bash and Powershell scripting
- Experience with Java upgrades, libraries, and diagnostics
- Experience with Tomcat installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Experience using Jira, ITSM, or other trouble ticket management software
- General technical understanding of how to deploy web application changes at the server level
- Availability to support mission requirements after core business hours, particularly Thursday evenings
- Some experience participating in software testing activities
- Excellent communication and customer service and support skills
- Proven track record of positive stakeholder interaction / collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience demonstrating technical depth and experience in relevant discipline(s) and/or application(s)
- Experience with administrative tools used to monitor application servers, particularly AppDynamics
- Experience with Oracle and/or Cassandra databases
- Experience using security vulnerability scanning software (ie SonarQube or Fortify)
- Ability to read and comply with ACAS vulnerability assessment scans
- Experience with cluster/load balancer architecture
- Experience with Kinetic Data and/or ServiceNow applications
Additional Requirements
- Final Secret IT-1 required; Top Secret preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required
