Job Summary
Plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for K-12 students as an ESL Teacher; create and modify instructional plans and materials to meet diverse student needs; monitor and evaluate student outcomes; maintain records and follow procedures; communicate with students, parents, staff, and the community; collaborate with administrators and colleagues to support ABSS curriculum and integrate technology into instruction; establish clear objectives and contribute to a safe, orderly classroom environment; be available outside instructional hours as needed; possess a NC teaching license in the applicable field; preferred Spanish-speaking and National Board Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
- Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by the state of NC in applicable field and for level assigned
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
- National Board Certification (preferred)
- Spanish Speaking (preferred)
