Job Summary
ESL/ML Teacher for grades 9-12 at Southern Alamance High. Responsible for planning and providing instruction across applicable subjects, developing and modifying instructional plans to meet diverse student needs, and maintaining records in accordance with ABSS policies. The role requires extensive knowledge of ABSS curriculum, ability to integrate technology, monitor student outcomes, communicate with students, families, staff, and the community, and create a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Duties include planning a program of study, delivering instruction, supervising students in various settings, and coordinating with teacher assistants and volunteers. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid NC teaching license; National Board Certification is preferred. Essential duties cover classroom management, objective setting, assessment, test administration, policy compliance, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
- Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by the state of NC in applicable field and for level assigned
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
