Job Summary
Plan and provide instruction for 9-12 English courses at Williams High School, creating a classroom environment that supports student learning and achievement. Develop and modify instructional plans and materials to meet diverse learner needs, monitor student outcomes, and communicate with students, parents, staff, and the community. Deliver an instructional program aligned with ABSS curriculum, integrate technology into the curriculum, and maintain accurate records. Establish clear objectives, utilize varied instructional methods and resources, supervise students, and collaborate with administrators, colleagues, and volunteers to support the total school program. Maintain safety, discipline, and professional conduct, and be available to students and families outside instructional time as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
- Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by the state of NC in applicable field and for level assigned
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
- National Board Certification (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to meet standards and evaluations as applicable
