Job Summary
Plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for K-12 students; create and implement instructional plans aligned to ABSS curriculum, monitor student outcomes, and maintain records. Responsibilities include supervising students, communicating with students, parents, staff, and the community; utilizing technology in instruction; ensuring safety and order in the classroom; and collaborating with administrators and colleagues to support student success. Requires a Bachelor's Degree and NC teaching license; National Board Certification preferred; duties span planning, instruction, assessment, and compliance with applicable codes and policies. Work in Graham, NC; standard 40-hour work week over 10 months; exempt position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s)
- Must hold a valid Teacher’s License issued by the state of NC in applicable field and for level assigned
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
