Job Summary
Implement Universal's curriculum and instructional strategies while developing rigorous lesson plans, homework assignments, and assessments. Instruct students, utilize technology to differentiate instruction, and maintain discipline per the Student Code of Conduct. Monitor student progress, update records accurately, and collaborate in grade-level teams to analyze assessment data and share best practices. Form relationships with families through conferences and phone calls, and participate in Professional Learning Communities and ongoing professional development. Work closely with school leaders to ensure student mastery of standards and maintain a warm, welcoming school culture in an urban environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid PA Certification
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to adjust instructional strategies in order to reach year-end goals
- A strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement
- A belief that all students should be held to high standards
- A positive attitude and a drive for personal excellence
- Outstanding instructional skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge students and maintain an orderly classroom

- Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating with peers
