Job Summary
8th grade Social Studies Teacher responsible for delivering district-approved middle school social studies curriculum, developing lesson plans, assessing student learning, and maintaining a productive classroom environment. Collaborates with staff, communicates with parents, coordinates with colleagues for curriculum evaluation, selects instructional materials, administers standardized tests, and supports student citizenship and behavior standards. Requires SC Certification in Middle Level Social Studies, a Bachelor's in education, and ability to operate transportation. Master’s Degree preferred. Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required; exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- SC Certification in Middle Level Social Studies
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
- Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Master's Degree preferred
