Job Summary
8th grade Social Studies Teacher fills middle school classroom with district-curriculum-aligned instruction; develops lesson plans and instructional materials, conducts ongoing assessment, differentiates for diverse learners (including students with special needs), and uses data to inform instruction. Responsibilities include promoting responsible citizenship concepts, maintaining accurate records, communicating with students and parents, coordinating with grade-level staff, selecting instructional resources, supervising activities outside the classroom, administering standardized tests, and participating in professional development and committees. Required qualification is SC Certification in Middle Level Social Studies and a Bachelor's in education; a Master's degree is preferred. Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as needed. Fort Mill, South Carolina. FLSA Exempt.
