Job Summary
Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-based mathematics instruction aligned with Pennsylvania Academic Standards, utilizing varied strategies, technology, and formative assessments to maximize student engagement. Analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction, while implementing IEPs and 504 plans for identified learners. Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual needs, maintain classroom discipline, and refer students experiencing unusual difficulties through the IST process. Evaluate and record student progress and attendance for reporting to parents. Maintain a daily plan book for review and availability for substitutes, and provide immediate care for injured students until medical personnel arrive. Follow the building's safety-emergency management plan and perform extra duties such as lunchroom, bus, or recess as required. Submit an online application; salary follows the PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- PA Mathematics Certificate Gr. 7 -12
- PA Mid-Level Mathematics Certificate (Gr. 4-8)
- Clearances must be within 12 months
- TB must be within 90 days of hire date
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
- School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test) PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
