Job Summary
Teaches 8th-grade Language Arts classes and is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing student learning experiences. Builds lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum goals, uses a variety of assessments to gauge student needs, collaborates with staff to support student learning, promotes inclusive educational opportunities, and maintains professional conduct and confidentiality while supporting student growth and achievement. Maintains effective communication with students, parents, and staff; prepares instructional materials; and participates in required school activities, with ongoing focus on safety and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state department of education license/certificate as determined at the time of appointment.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Maintains applicable credentials. Complies with all state licensure requirements.
