Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a .NET-based microservices backend and Shopify Hydrogen storefront while provisioning AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code. Implement security controls including WAF/ALB configuration, secrets management, and key management, and support OAuth2/OIDC identity providers for service-to-service and customer-facing authentication. Stand up logging, monitoring, and alerting across microservices and manage asynchronous messaging infrastructure for order and catalog processing. Participate in troubleshooting production issues, define rollback procedures, and produce operational documentation. Coordinate with backend engineering, QA automation, and the client's internal IT team on deployment schedules and infrastructure changes. This role supports a distributed, multi-vendor delivery team migrating storefront and order-management capabilities to a modern cloud-native architecture.
Required Qualifications
- +90% English written and oral (B2 level minimum) — strong written and verbal communication is essential
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience, including production support for cloud-native applications
- Strong experience with AWS services (compute, networking, SQS/SNS, Secrets Manager, KMS, WAF, ALB)
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized or microservices-based applications
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting .NET/C# application deployments and troubleshooting service-to-service communication issues
- Solid understanding of OAuth2/OIDC identity and access management concepts
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tooling in a distributed systems environment
- Ability to work independently in a multi-vendor, distributed delivery environment across time zones
- AWS (SQS/SNS, Secrets Manager, KMS, WAF, ALB), CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/CloudFormation
- .NET/C# deployment support, OAuth2/OIDC, monitoring and observability
- Strong documentation and cross-team communication skills
- Critical Technology Proficiency: AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, .NET/C#, OAuth2/OIDC, SQS/SNS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce platform migrations (Shopify or similar SaaS commerce platforms)
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL data stores in production environments
- Experience with Keycloak or similar identity providers
- Exposure to CQRS/event-driven architecture patterns
- Prior consulting or staff-augmentation experience in a multi-vendor delivery environment
