Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II position (PRN/NIGHT shift) responsible for medication administration and implementing respiratory care in complex, critical care patients, with vent management, airway management, arterial blood gas analysis, and patient/family education. Involves independent decision-making, collaboration with the health care team, and involvement in staff development and training of students and peers. Location: Hiram, GA. Requires graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program with AS degree; BLS/ACLS certifications current; 0-2 years of clinical experience with critical care experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science.
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist 1.00 Required
- Respiratory Care Prof 2.00 Required
- Basic Life Support 3.00 Required
- BLS - Instructor 3.00 Required
- BLS - Provisional 3.00 Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support 4.00 Required
- ACLS - Instructor 4.00 Required
- ACLS - Provisional 4.00 Required
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care Required
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals, and computer skills including familiarity with databases.
- Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills are a must for this job.
