Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II (PRN, Night shift) in a non-NICU setting providing complex respiratory care. Delivers medication administration, ventilator management, and airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care) with independent decision-making in critical care areas. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning with the healthcare team, ABG sampling/analysis, and education for patients, families, students, and new staff. Exercises leadership in staff development, supports continuous quality improvement, and adheres to safety and evidence-based practices. Requires graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program and relevant licenses/certifications; typically involves collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a highly integrated care environment. Location: Dallas, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- BLS Instructor
- BLS Provisional
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- ACLS Instructor
- ACLS Provisional
- Minimum 0-2 years clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
