Job Summary
Head, Credit, PPB in Zambia responsible for building, maintaining and managing the end-to-end PPB Credit operation. Leads evaluation and approval of applications, coaches Credit Evaluation Managers, ensures adherence to delegated authorities and SLA targets, supports scaling of automated credit processes and enhanced data utilization, and oversees governance, risk, and compliance across the credit lifecycle. Drives asset quality, growth, and risk controls while managing people, budgets, and project delivery across the PPB credit function.
Required Qualifications
- First Degree - Business Commerce or related
Desired Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in credit operations or portfolio management
- 2-5 years of experience in credit operations or portfolio management in high-volume personal/retail credit
- experience with credit workflow management tools and automated decisioning technology
- First Degree in Business Commerce or related field
- strong leadership and coaching skills
- ability to build efficient credit evaluation processes and manage end-to-end credit life cycle
- experience in risk management, governance, and compliance within banking/financial services
- excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- ability to manage SLAs, KPIs, and performance targets
- experience in scaling automated credit processes and digital lending
- strong analytical skills and data utilization capabilities
- cost management and budget adherence experience
- ability to develop and implement training and talent development programs
- experience with team development and succession planning
