Job Summary
Design, develop, and enhance business-critical desktop applications using C#, .NET, and WPF technologies while applying software engineering best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and improve scalable solutions, analyze software issues, and resolve problems to ensure application performance and reliability. Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, and development best practices to maintain maintainable and scalable solutions. This hybrid role reports to a Principal Technical Support Engineer in Quartino, Switzerland, with a preference for a 2-year minimum experience in the .NET ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development using C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Knowledge of software design patterns, application architecture, MVVM, dependency injection, and modern .NET development practices
- Familiarity with ASP.NET applications, REST APIs, source control systems (e.g., Git), and software development best practices such as Clean Code and Clean Architecture
- Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD practices, testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum ways of working
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional proficiency in English
