Job Summary
Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices teaching fundamental skills, strategies, and conditioning. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities while promoting teamwork, discipline, and positive sportsmanship. Communicate with players, parents, and administration; monitor academic progress and eligibility per district and AIA policies. Ensure proper care of equipment and uniforms, report injuries promptly, and model character off the court. Work after school, evenings, and weekends; travel to away games. Requires Arizona IVP clearance, CPR/First Aid, and volleyball knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR and First Aid Certification
Desired Qualifications
- college coursework
- Previous playing or coaching experience in volleyball
- Knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and teaching techniques
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with junior high school students
