Job Summary

Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment by organizing classroom systems, managing student behavior, and developing lesson plans aligned with California state standards. Communicate with parents weekly, conduct conferences, and collaborate with the Inclusion Specialist to meet individual student needs while tracking progress and maintaining records. Participate in Academic Success Teams and school-based meetings, attend professional development, and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Preliminary or Clear Single Subject or Multiple Subject Credential OR University Internship Credential eligible (Intern eligibility letter required) OR Qualification for a permit if the applicant does not possess a credential is required
  • Satisfy Basic Skills Requirement (met through coursework and/or passing scores on standardized tests i.e., CBEST, SAT, ACT, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of the subject matter, including California State Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments
  • Knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Able to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
  • Must be flexible and team-oriented
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work
  • Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position
  • Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
