7th Grade Science/Social Studies Teacher

Plan and deliver 7th-grade science and social studies instruction aligned to state and parish curriculum standards. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to maximize instructional time while accommodating individual student differences. Deliver research-based lessons, assess student progress through varied techniques, and provide timely feedback. Coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for special education students, including IEP meetings and progress note maintenance. Supervise students during all school hours, including before drop-off, between classes, and after pick-up. Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and the IEP team to support student outcomes. Complete self-evaluations, professional growth plans, and required administrative reports. Attend faculty meetings, PLCs, and school board functions as needed.
