Job Summary
7th grade RLA Pre-AP Teacher responsible for implementing state standards and IDEA curricula, delivering grade-level content, and preparing students for college readiness. Duties include submitting weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance, conducting formal and informal assessments, tracking progress in the gradebook, communicating student progress weekly with families, utilizing technology to enhance learning, implementing a consistent behavior management system, contributing to a positive school culture, coordinating tutoring sessions, and participating in after-school and weekend activities as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and strong content-area proficiency; 40+ hours per week on-site at Elsa, TX, with potential relocation support. The role emphasizes collaboration within the IDEA Team and Family and supports pathways to college via dual-enrollment/AP/IB opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
- K-12 teaching experience or strong alignment with K-12 classroom settings (strongly preferred)
- State certification preferred but not required
