Job Summary
The Math Teacher will deliver mathematics instruction to 7th grade, teaching courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and/or Calculus as assigned, while differentiating instruction for diverse learners. Responsible for assessing and monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records of performance and attendance, and upholding a positive, structured classroom environment. Responsibilities include communicating regularly with students, parents, and staff; participating in professional development and school initiatives; and supporting school policies and student discipline expectations. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field and a valid state teaching license/certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain), with strong classroom management and instructional skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching secondary math, experience with diverse student populations, and familiarity with data-driven instruction and educational technology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid state teaching license/certification in Mathematics (or ability to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement
- Experience teaching secondary math courses (preferred)
- Experience working with diverse student populations (preferred)
- Familiarity with data-driven instruction and educational technology (preferred)
