Job Summary
7th Grade Girls A Basketball Coach planned for Hamilton Community Schools. Responsibilities include teaching fundamental basketball skills, strategy, and conditioning; supervising students; fostering teamwork, integrity and sportsmanship; maintaining confidential relationships with students, parents and staff; and communicating effectively with players, parents, and the coaching staff. Reports to the Athletic Director/MS Principal. Position described as part-time/nonexempt with pay according to Schedule B of the HEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- preferred experience coaching/playing at the high school/college level
- demonstrates dependability and promptness
- effective communication with players, parents and coaching staff
- supervision of students
- maintenance of confidentiality
- instruct student-athletes in skills, strategy and physical training
- foster improvement, integrity, pride of accomplishment, sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork and self-confidence
