Job Summary
Teach 7th grade ELA Pre-AP at IDEA San Juan College Prep, implementing state standards and IDEA curricula to meet ambitious academic expectations. responsibilities include delivering content and grade-level curricula, submitting weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance, administering formal and informal assessments, tracking progress in the gradebook, communicating student progress to families weekly, maintaining a clear behavior-management system, fostering a positive classroom culture, collaborating with families and team members, supporting tutoring sessions as needed, and attending multiple meetings and after-school duties. Requires a Bachelor's Degree and K-12 teaching experience is strongly preferred; relocation assistance may be offered. Expect 40+ hours on-site per week with potential after-school or Saturday sessions.
Required Qualifications
