Job Summary
Athletic Coach needed to lead, motivate, and develop student-athletes in 7th grade boys basketball. Responsibilities include planning and executing practice sessions, instructing players in basketball rules and techniques, evaluating performance with constructive feedback, fostering a positive, disciplined team culture, ensuring health and safety, coordinating with assistant coaches and athletic staff, communicating with players, parents, and administration, attending practices, games, meetings, and events, maintaining equipment, and serving as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven coaching experience in basketball (e.g., 7th grade boys basketball)
- Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and strategies
- Excellent leadership, motivational, and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Satisfactory background report
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License or ability to provide own transportation
- May be required to travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
- Prior to beginning employment, negative tb test results must be provided
