Job Summary
7th/8th Grade Assistant Football Coach responsible for instructing athletes on techniques, rules, and safety; developing and organizing practices from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; supervising athletes during practices, games, camps, and travel; promoting the interscholastic program and ensuring compliance with athletic policies; fostering sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle values; ensuring documentation and medical requirements are met; communicating with parents regarding team rules; completing mandatory trainings (WIAA clinics) and adhering to district regulations. Desirable qualifications include prior coaching experience at the secondary level and relevant certifications. The position offers a contract-based salary range and standard district benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach and 21 or older for Head Coach.
- Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
- Type II Driver’s License, preferred.
- Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.
