Job Summary
Manage the hot deli department's daily operations, including product display, freshness, and shelf stocking. Order inventory based on stock levels and promotions, receive poultry shipments, and control FIFO inventory movement. Coordinate employee schedules, handle attendance, and lead coaching, training, and performance reviews. Maintain a safe, clean workplace while meeting sales targets and company standards. This trainee undergoes six to eight months of systematic training and evaluations before direct assignment. Bilingual candidates in English, Chinese, or Spanish are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience related to the management field or equivalent combination of education and background experience
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures and use equipment
- Require lifting up to 25+ lbs of objects and including long periods of standing
- Can work with flexible schedules such as night shifts and work on weekends & holidays; can relocate if necessary
- Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and training materials
- Able to speak, write, present, communicate, and respond to information and questions
- Great interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass, and volume
- Commit to company values and customer services
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Take initiative to accomplish goals, detail-oriented and organized
- Prioritize tasks, motivate team members, and set a good example to maximize unity and efficiency
- The desire for career growth within the company
- Bilingual in English, Chinese, or Spanish is highly preferred
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- At least 18 years old
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking are required
- Ability to use manual dexterity to grasp, manipulate, and assemble objects
- Ability to work in an environment that may be wet and dry and with varying temperatures and noises
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds at times or more with appropriate equipment
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with inventory management programs, Microsoft Office, IT retail, or SAP are highly preferred
