Job Summary
Plan and provide instruction to students identified as disabled under IDEA in accordance with the Individual Education Plan (IEP); participate in ARD/IEP process as the representative or committee member from special education; collaborate with related service providers (SLP, OT, PT, Assistive Technology, etc.); maintain records, prepare progress reports, and communicate with families; implement TEA/district/campus policies; deliver differentiated instruction aligned to IEP goals; create a supportive, well-managed classroom environment and use technology to support learning; engage in ongoing professional development and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse needs; provide care per IEP requirements and support students’ academic and behavioral growth; participate in multidisciplinary team activities and ensure compliance with district and state requirements including safety procedures and non-violent crisis intervention where applicable; perform duties with a student-centered approach and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and parents; pursue personal and professional growth opportunities through staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
