Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist position with overnight night shift (7p-7a), working 12X3 nights, at Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing according to physician orders and established protocols. Responsibilities emphasize clear communication, relationship-building, accountability, patient experience improvement, professional growth, and contributing to a winning team. Required Texas RCP licensure, BLS, and applicable advanced certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) with timely attainment; NBRC registration and potential registry status within defined periods; minimum 6 months of respiratory care experience. The hospital emphasizes Stroke Center designation and related critical-care capabilities in the Richardson/Dallas area, with locations in Denton and Richardson, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in Texas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) where applicable and must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- If certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Texas state Respiratory Care Practitioner license
