Job Summary
In this highly technical, fast-paced Respiratory Therapist role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders and established protocols. Responsibilities emphasize clear communication, relationship building, accountability, continuous improvement of patient experience, and proactive professional development. The position is at Methodist Richardson Medical Center (Dallas area) with rotating night shifts (7p-7a); hospital serves diverse populations and holds Magnet status with leading trauma and neonatal/pediatric capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support certification required
- Advanced Cardio Life Support, NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
