Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist position (full-time, night shift 7p-7a) requiring TX licensure, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS where applicable, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of respiratory care experience. You’ll perform evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patient outcomes in a high-acuity hospital setting. Responsibilities include clear communication, relationship-building for collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement of patient experience, proactive professional growth, and contributing to a winning team. The role is at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, a 443-bed acute care hospital serving the Dallas area, with specialties in stroke care and NICU/trauma services.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardio Life Support, NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
