Job Summary
Provide exemplary, courteous customer service, handle complaints tactfully, and utilize suggestive selling techniques to drive sales. Process all sales accurately on the POS, manage cash and other payments, and perform multi-function operations of register and equipment. Maintain proper inventory levels, conduct shift closeouts, and perform cleaning duties to ensure site cleanliness inside and out. Notify management of observed dishonesty, follow vendor check-in procedures, and confront shoplifters in accordance with company policy. Work independently with minimal supervision, adhering to all company policies and governmental regulations. Complete required orientations, trainings, and certifications. This part-time overnight role supports the maintenance and operation of the company-owned retail facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work with tools/equipment and perform duties as described above
- Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English and engage in conversation
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team as necessary
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of shift
- Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to 1 hour of shift
- Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands; work requires hand-eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours of shift
