Job Summary
Examine and treat companion animals to detect disease or injuries, operating diagnostic equipment and collecting samples to interpret results. Perform surgery, dentistry, and ultrasound procedures while advising pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Prescribe medication as needed and provide counsel around end-of-life care, maintaining accurate medical records throughout. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures while collaborating with a well-trained team. The role includes a $75,000 sign-on bonus and a salary range of $125,000–$140,000. The position offers flexible schedules, unlimited PTO, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching. Located in Tullahoma, TN, the practice is closed on weekends to support work-life balance.
Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
- Appropriate state licensure
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
