Job Summary
Inspect forms, rebar, and pour concrete directly into forms or onto surfaces, then fill voids and level new concrete using vibratory equipment. Smooth the surface to specified slope and depth with straightedges or floats, and achieve desired finishes with hand and power tools. Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and thresholds into freshly poured concrete, while applying sealants and hardening compounds for surface protection. Repair, restore, and replace worn or damaged concrete structures including floors, walls, and roads. Requires high school diploma, 2–4 year vocational training, or three years of industry experience. Salary ranges from $17 to $22 per hour.
