Job Summary
Set up and take down promotional displays, ensure shelf tags are correct, and keep refrigerators neat with items visible to customers. Maintain clean aisles and common areas free of debris, while replenishing stock using the First-In First-Out method and rotating products to meet customer needs. Handle expired or recalled products properly, keep accurate logs per food safety regulations, and unload deliveries to arrange the stockroom. Conduct inventory counts with team members and assist customers in locating products. Work weekends and holidays on rotating schedules, lifting items over 30 lbs in temperatures ranging from 32 to 50 degrees.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules
- Having or willing to obtain a Food Handling Card
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies
- Proper training and knowledge of equipment operation required
- Standing in place for a long period of time
- Bending to pick up items
- Kneeling regularly
- Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment
- Able to work occasionally with environment temperatures ranging from 32o to 50 oF
Desired Qualifications
- Previous stocking experience is preferred
- Knowledge of general grocery product lines or similar experience
