Job Summary
Provide exemplary customer service, handle complaints tactfully, and utilize suggestive selling to drive sales. Process all sales accurately on the POS, manage cash and various payment methods, and perform multi-function operation of equipment. Maintain proper inventory levels, conduct shift closeouts, and complete cleaning duties to ensure site cleanliness. Notify management of observed dishonesty and follow vendor check-in procedures. Complete all required orientations, trainings, and meetings while adhering to company policies. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, utilizing POS, lottery, and food-preparation equipment. Full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work with tools/equipment and perform duties as described above
- Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English and engage in conversation
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team as necessary
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of shift
- Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to 1 hour of shift
- Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands; work requires hand-eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours of shift
- Ability to work in intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes
- Ability to work in small spaces at times
- Ability to work with minimal direction and periodic supervision
- Ability to handle liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and cleaning solvents
- Ability to utilize suggestive selling techniques
- Ability to process all sales on cash register properly and accurately
- Ability to perform multi-function operation of POS (cash register) and other equipment and machines
- Ability to maintain proper inventory levels and shift closeouts
- Ability to notify store management of any observed dishonesty by customers, vendors, or other store employees
- Ability to follow vendor check-in procedures
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, including relevant governmental regulations
- Ability to complete/attend all required employee orientations, trainings, certifications, and/or meetings
- Ability to work irregular work hours
